Restoration Pumpkinhead Project (Foam Filled Latex Statue)
I was commissioned to repair a Lifesize 8.5 foot Pumpkinhead statue, these were built in the mid 90’s and limited to only 10 production pcs. They are extremely rare and this unit was in pretty rough shape with dried and cracking latex all over the statue. The images below show some of the process to fill holes, repair and patch the heavily cracked areas, apply new latex skin, repaint back to the original paint scheme, and a final seal for a long lasting restored museum quality pc.
